Scope

This standard specifies the classification and code of carbon structural steel and low-alloy structural steel hot-rolled steel strip, order content, size, shape, weight and allowable deviation, technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules, packaging, marks and quality certificates and other regulations. This standard applies to hot-rolled strips of carbon structural steel and low-alloy structural steel with a thickness not greater than 12.00 mm and a width not greater than 600 mm (hereinafter referred to as "steel strip").
