Scope
This guiding technical document specifies the general requirements, inspection procedures, inspection records and inspection reports for automatic inspection of small-diameter thin-walled seamless steel pipes for aviation using the local water immersion ultrasonic pulse shear wave reflection method. This guiding technical document is applicable to cold-drawn/rolled seamless steel pipes with an outer diameter of 6 mm~50 mm, a wall thickness of 0.5 mm~2 mm, and a ratio of wall thickness to outer diameter not greater than 0.2. Other similar specifications of steel pipes and high-temperature alloy and titanium alloy seamless pipes can be implemented as a reference.
