- This instruction manual specifies the method of ultrasonic inspection of deformed metals and their parts used in the aviation industry using ultrasonic pulse reflection technology and the quality control requirements for the main factors that affect the inspection results. This standard applies to forged billets, forged parts, plates, extruded or rolled bars, profiles and parts made from them. This standard does not apply to weldments, castings, sandwich structures and non-metals.
