- Scope
- This standard specifies the operating conditions, technical requirements, inspection rules, test methods, packaging and transportation of gapless metal oxide arresters for 1 000 kV AC systems. This standard is applicable to porcelain-sleeved gapless metal oxide surge arresters for power stations (referred to as "surge arresters") and gas-insulated metal-enclosed gapless metal oxide surge arresters (referred to as "GIS surge arresters") designed to limit overvoltages in 1 000 kV AC systems. .
