Scope

This guiding technical document involves the operating conditions, technical requirements, test procedures, test equipment, tests (type, routine, acceptance, regular, sampling) and packaging and transportation of gapless metal oxide arresters for 1000kV AC systems. This guiding technical document is applicable to porcelain-sleeved gapless metal oxide surge arresters and tank-type arresters for GIS (hereinafter referred to as arresters) designed to limit the overvoltage of 1000kV AC system.
