Scope
This standard specifies the Vickers and Knoop hardness tests for laser and electron beam narrow weld cross-sections in metallic materials. The Vickers hardness test force range specified in this standard is usually 0.098 N~≤98 N (HV 0.01~≤HV 10), and the Knoop hardness test force range is usually not more than 9.8 N (HK 1). This standard applies to hardness tests of weld specimens with or without filler wire. This standard does not apply to hardness tests using laser/arc composite wide weld specimens. The hardness test of non-narrow welds shall be carried out according to GB/T 2654 and GB/T 27552.
