Scope

This part of GB/T 31586 specifies the test method for evaluating the resistance level of the coating system by cutting the coating in a right-angle grid pattern (cross grid) or in an X shape (cross) and penetrating into the substrate. This standard applies only if the cross-hatched or crossed-out method and the grade in the appropriate grade table are specified. This section also specifies the applicable equipment, defines inspection areas, sampling schemes and acceptance/rejection criteria. This standard does not specify the rating of a specific coating system.
