Scope

This standard specifies the initial qualification tasks, qualification categories and methods, qualification program elements and test implementation procedures for electrical equipment important to safety in nuclear power plants and their interfaces. This standard applies to the initial qualification of electrical equipment important to safety in nuclear power plants, and also to the requalification after equipment qualification changes. It may be used for equipment qualification where only stability or structural integrity is required under seismic loading.
