This standard specifies the p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde spectrophotometric method for the determination of monomethylhydrazine in water. This method is suitable for the determination of monomethylhydrazine in surface water and aerospace industry wastewater. The determination range of monomethylhydrazine is 0.02~0.80mg/L. When the content of monomethylhydrazine in the water sample is greater than 0.80 mg/L, it can be diluted for determination. Hydrazine interferes with the determination of monomethylhydrazine. When the content of unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine is higher than that of monomethylhydrazine, the calibration curve can be used to pre-calibrate.
