This standard specifies the design requirements, general characteristics, radiation characteristics, electrical characteristics, environmental characteristics, mechanical characteristics, test methods and inspection rules of X and gamma radiation personal alarm devices (hereinafter referred to as alarm devices). This standard is applicable to deep personal dose equivalent rate alarm devices that send out alarms when the wearer is exposed to external exposure to X and gamma radiation. This kind of alarm is generally not suitable for use in pulsed radiation fields. The energy range of X and γ radiation is 50keV~1.5MeV. If the alarm device is used in facilities that can produce X radiation less than 50keV and 6MeV γ radiation, the energy response data to this radiation should be given. 2 reference standards
