Scope

This standard specifies the test methods, measurement accuracy, calculation methods, and conversion and judgment of test results for water ring vacuum pumps and water ring compressors (collectively referred to as water ring pumps if not distinguished). This standard is applicable to tests of water ring pumps of any size with water as the working fluid and air as the working medium.
