Scope

This standard specifies the graphic signs for identifying petroleum-based brake fluid and non-petroleum-based brake fluid for automotive hydraulic braking systems. This standard is applicable to the marks on the containers of brake fluid commodities, and also to the marks on the containers of brake fluid on automobiles.
