Scope

This standard specifies the identification of brake fluid (petroleum-based or non-petroleum-based) in the braking system and hydraulic system of road vehicles (including motorcycles and mopeds). This standard applies to the markings on the brake fluid commodity containers and brake fluid containers on vehicles.
