- Scope
- This standard specifies the method for determining the mass per unit area (area density) of hot-dip galvanized coatings on ferrous metal materials. This standard applies to samples whose surface area is easy to measure (such as plates, wires, tubes and other shaped materials). If the sample is too heavy to implement the requirements in Chapter 5 of this standard, other methods should be used to measure the quality of the hot-dip galvanized layer.
