- This standard specifies the test principle, sample, test method, result presentation and test report for the test of hardenability of tool steel by metallographic method. This standard is applicable to the hardenability test of tool steels with weak hardenability and medium hardenability, and not applicable to the hardenability test of tool steels with core hardenability.
