Scope

This standard specifies the determination of total lead content in paints and related products by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. This standard applies to products with a total lead content within the range of 0.01% to 2% (m/m). Note: This standard is also applicable to products with a total lead content exceeding 2% (m/m) within the range specified in Article 7.2 of this standard.
