Scope: This standard specifies the copper-accelerated acetate salt spray test method for aluminum and aluminum alloy anodized films. This standard is applicable to the evaluation of the salt spray corrosion resistance of the oxide film, and is also applicable to the process quality comparison of the same oxide film. Since there are many factors that affect the corrosion of oxide films, this standard is not applicable to the evaluation of the corrosion resistance of the tested oxide film in other environments and the comparison with the corrosion resistance of other oxide films.
