This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs of marine jib cranes (hereinafter referred to as cranes). This standard applies to electric or hydraulically driven single-boom cranes used for loading and unloading cargo, operating in port areas or in waters where the offshore wind force is not greater than Class 2 Beaufort. The crane has the ability of lifting, lowering, horizontal luffing and turning cargo. All functions can be realized individually or in combination. This standard does not apply to electromagnetic and grab cranes, offshore platform cranes and other cranes.
