Scope: This standard specifies the requirements, inspection rules, classification and marking of marine jib cranes (hereinafter referred to as "cranes"). This standard applies to the design and acceptance of electric or hydraulically driven single-arm cranes for loading and unloading cargo (operating in port areas or waters where the offshore wind force is not greater than Beaufort 2). This standard does not apply to the design and acceptance of electromagnetic and grab cranes, offshore platform cranes, and auxiliary operation cranes such as miscellaneous goods and davits.
