Scope

This standard specifies the type, size, technical requirements, inspection rules and test methods of pollution-resistant outdoor rod-shaped post porcelain insulators (hereinafter referred to as insulators). This standard is applicable to insulators with pollution level E and above used on power equipment and devices operating in the AC system with a rated voltage of 35-500kV and a frequency not greater than 100Hz. Between, the altitude does not exceed 1000m. NOTE: Contamination issues at high altitudes are under consideration.
