- This standard specifies the test methods for the color fastness of textiles to domestic and commercial washing. This standard applies to the determination of the color resistance of various textiles to household or commercial laundering operations for general household textiles. This standard is not applicable to the determination of industrial and medical textiles subjected to special laundering operations. This standard also does not apply to the determination of the fluorescence effect of commercial washing products.
