Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for vibration transmission characteristics of cushioning materials for packaging. This test is used to evaluate the vibration transmission (vibration isolation) characteristics of the cushioning material used for packaging under the action of sinusoidal vibration and the ability to protect the contents of the package. The data obtained from this test can be used in the vibration isolation design of the packaging. This standard applies to non-linear elastic cushioning materials.
