Scope: This standard specifies the test equipment, test samples, test procedures and test reports for testing the vibration transmission characteristics of cushioning materials for packaging. This standard is applicable to assess the vibration transmission (vibration isolation) characteristics of packaging cushioning materials under the action of sinusoidal vibration and the ability to protect the contents of the packaging. This standard applies to non-linear elastic cushioning materials.
