Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for small cylindrical helical springs. This standard is applicable to circular section cylindrical helical compression, tension and torsion springs (hereinafter referred to as springs). The cross-sectional diameter of the spring material is less than 0.5mm. This standard does not apply to springs with special properties.
