Scope
This standard specifies the basic methods and technical requirements for regular inspection and evaluation of in-use steel seamless gas cylinders (hereinafter referred to as "gas cylinders"). This standard applies to the regular inspection and assessment of refillable steel seamless gas cylinders with a nominal working pressure not greater than 30 MPa and a nominal volume of 0.4 L to 150 L, used to hold compressed gas, high-pressure liquefied gas or mixed gas. This standard does not apply to gas cylinders with internal filling, gas cylinders for fire extinguishing, and cylinder-type pressure vessels attached to transportation vehicles and machinery and equipment.
