- This standard specifies the basic methods and technical requirements for periodic inspection and evaluation of in-use steel seamless gas cylinders. This standard is applicable to steel seamless gas cylinders with hydrostatic test pressure not greater than 45 MPa and water volume of 0.4 to 80 L, which are used for storage and transportation of permanent gas or high-pressure liquefied gas and can be recharged, and natural gas steel seamless gas cylinders for vehicles. (hereinafter referred to as gas cylinders) regular inspection and assessment. This standard does not apply to gas cylinders filled with solid fillings and gas cylinders for fire extinguishing.
