Scope

This standard specifies the methods for acoustic emission detection and result evaluation of metal structures of bridge and gantry cranes. This standard applies to the in-use bridge and gantry cranes (hereinafter referred to as cranes) specified in GB/T 20776. Newly manufactured cranes and other types of cranes can also be implemented by reference.
