Scope: This standard applies to the touchscreen-specific design of dialogues for technical plants in industrial use. The design recommendations given in this standard focus on touchscreen use with fingers. A touchscreen-based user interface designed for interaction by means of the finger will mostly also be suitable for use with other contact elements such as a stylus, gloves, amputation appliances. The standard provides rules and recommendations with respect to the design of stationary touchscreens.
