Scope

This standard specifies the special requirements and test methods for small and medium-power biomass gas ignition engines using gas/air mixers. This standard applies to biomass gas ignition engines (hereinafter referred to as engines) for generator sets, drainage and irrigation machinery, and mobile machinery, including original engines designed and manufactured in accordance with this standard and modified engines that have been improved and adjusted from diesel engines or gasoline engines. Other biomass gas ignition engines that do not use a gas/air mixer or ignition gas engines that do not burn biomass gas can also be implemented by reference.
