This International Standard specifies requirements and test methods for dental lights used in dental practices and intended to illuminate the patient's oral cavity. It also contains specifications for the manufacturer's instructions for use, labeling and packaging. This International Standard applies to all operating lights, regardless of the technology of the light source used. This International Standard does not apply to additional light sources, e.g. B. of dental handpieces and dental headlamps and also not for treatment lights that are specifically intended for use in oral surgery.
