- This standard specifies the basic requirements for the design, manufacturing, inspection and acceptance of oil and gas separators and oil, gas and water separators used in the oil and natural gas production process. The oil and gas separators applicable to this standard are divided into vertical, horizontal (single-cylinder and double-cylinder), and spherical types according to their structural forms. This standard does not apply to centrifugal separators, filter separators and desanding separators.
