Scope: This standard specifies the specifications to be complied with for fabric-cored conveyor belts for underground mining with rubber or plastic overlays when running on flat or grooved idlers. This standard does not apply to light conveyor belts specified in ISO 21183-1. This standard does not include requirements for plastic overlays. This requires an agreement between the producer and the purchaser, depending on the type of plastic used. The relevant clauses in Appendix A are not requirements of this standard, but it is recommended that the manufacturer and the purchaser reach an agreement on the contents. Detailed requirements to be provided by the purchaser of the proposed tape at the time of purchase are indicated in Appendix B. Whether the conveyor belt can run in a straight line can only be evaluated after installation. Therefore, this requirement is beyond the scope of this standard. However, recommendations on the running deviation of the belt are given in Appendix C.
