- This standard specifies the applicable scope, terminology, measuring device, sample, procedure and result calculation of the circular tube method for measuring the steady-state heat transfer characteristics of the insulation layer. This standard applies to the determination of steady-state heat transfer characteristics of circular pipe insulation layers (including longitudinal and transverse joints, moisture-proof layers and cladding, etc.) that are usually higher than the ambient temperature.
