Scope

This International Standard specifies a method for determining the steady-state heat transfer properties of tubular insulating materials, usually used at temperatures above ambient. This standard specifies the requirements for the test apparatus but not the design of the apparatus. The test piece type, temperature and test environment applicable to this standard are specified in Chapter 5 and Chapter 6.
