- This standard specifies the sensory analysis ranking method for differential or preference testing of multiple samples. This standard is applicable to determine the differences in sensory characteristics of products caused by different raw materials, processing, handling, packaging and storage. This method can be used first before more detailed sensory analysis of the sample. The methods specified in this standard are also applicable to consumer preference testing and the selection and training of evaluators.
