Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for edge routers that support IPv6, including functions, indicators, communication interfaces, communication protocols, environmental requirements, etc. This standard applies to edge router devices that support IPv6. All router provisions in the remainder of this standard refer specifically to edge routers that support IPv6.
