Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for core routers that support IPv6, including functions, indicators, communication interfaces, communication protocols, security requirements, environmental requirements, etc. This standard applies to core router equipment that supports IPv6. All router provisions in the remainder of this standard refer specifically to core routers that support IPv6.
