Scope

This standard specifies the requirements and/or measures for removing hazards and limiting risks on chain-type double-head tenoning machines (hereinafter referred to as machine tools). This standard applies to machine tools for cutting solid wood, particleboard, fiberboard, plywood, and materials with veneer or edge such as plastic and aluminum alloy. The workpiece is mechanically fed. This standard does not apply to the following machine tools: a) fully enclosed machine tools (see 3.3.10); b) mobile machine tools (see 3.3.11). This standard does not apply to the hazards arising from: a) the mechanical loading part of the workpiece; b) used in conjunction with other machine tools or as part of a production line; c) using tools for machining between halves of the machine tool (see 3.1); d) Using a laser.
