Scope
1.1 GB/T 30790 discusses the anti-corrosion protection of steel structures by using protective coating systems. 1.2 GB/T 30790 only involves the anti-corrosion protection function of the coating system, and other protection functions are not included in the content of GB/T 30790, for example: -- Microorganisms (marine dirt, bacteria, fungi, etc.); -- Chemicals (acids, alkalis, organic solvents, gases, etc.); -- mechanical action (abrasion, etc.); -- fire. 1.3 The characteristics of the application field include the following: - type of structure; - type of surface and surface treatment; - type of environment; - type of protective coating system; - type of work; - durability of protective coating system. Although GB/T 30790 does not cover all types of structures, surfaces and surface treatments, it can also be applied to areas not covered by negotiation. 1.3.1~1.3.6 describe the content of each application field in more detail. 1.3.1 Type of structure GB/T 30790 applies to structures made of carbon steel or low alloy steel (for example, in accordance with EN 10025-2) with a thickness not less than 3 mm, and the design of these structures is subject to approved strength calculations . Reinforced concrete structures are not within the scope of GB/T 30790. 1.3.2 Surface type and surface treatment GB/T 30790 discusses the following types of carbon steel or low alloy steel surface and its surface treatment: --- uncoated surface; --- thermal sprayed zinc, aluminum or their alloy surface; --Hot-dip galvanized surface; --Electric galvanized surface; --Powder galvanized surface; --Coated pre-primed surface; --Other painted surface. 1.3.3 Environmental types The environmental types discussed in GB/T 30790 are as follows: -- Atmospheric environment is divided into six types of corrosive grades; -- Steel structures immersed in water or buried in soil are divided into three grades. 1.3.4 Types of protective coating systems GB/T 30790 discusses a series of coating products that dry or cure under ambient conditions, but does not include: - powder coatings; - baking
