Scope: This standard specifies the implementation conditions, test cycle, test device, test method, and evaluation of temperature uniformity in the effective heating zone of gas heat treatment furnaces. This standard applies to gas-fired heat treatment furnaces heated by direct combustion of gas in the furnace, including periodic (batch) and continuous heat treatment furnaces.
