Scope

This standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of Class A socket welding and threaded pipe fittings (hereinafter referred to as pipe fittings). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of pipe fittings for ships and offshore engineering.
