Scope

This standard specifies the profile, basic dimensions, tolerances, markings and gauges of pipe threads (NPT and NPSC) with a profile angle of 60° and the thread pair itself has sealing properties. This standard applies to the sealing threaded connections of pipes, valves, pipe joints, cocks and other pipeline accessories.
