This standard specifies the usage characteristics, product representation methods, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of insulation materials for 1 kV and 10 kV overhead insulated cables. This standard is applicable to insulation materials made of polyethylene or ethylene copolymer as the base material, adding cross-linking agents or other additives, and plasticizing and granulating. It is also applicable to polyvinyl chloride as the base material, adding plasticizers. Insulation material made by plasticizing and granulating with other additives.
