Scope

This standard specifies the rules, test methods and qualification standards for welding process assessment before the production, installation and maintenance of steel equipment such as boilers, pressure vessels, pipelines and steel structures in the power industry. This standard is applicable to electrode arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas arc welding (GMAW/FCAW), gas welding (OFW), submerged arc welding (SAW), etc. Methods for welding procedure qualification.
