Scope

This standard specifies the basic principles, device performance requirements, main equipment technical requirements and testing of series resonance fault current limiters based on thyristor control. This standard is applicable to series resonance fault current limiters of 220kV and 500kV voltage levels. Fault current limiters of other voltage levels and other types can be implemented as a reference. Each series resonance type fault current limiter project has its particularities, and this standard should be used in conjunction with specific project conditions and requirements.
