This standard specifies the classification, marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of ordinary rectangular windows for ships (referred to as rectangular windows). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of rectangular windows for deckhouses, superstructures and relevant compartments of offshore structures above the freeboard deck of ocean-going ships. The design, manufacture and acceptance of rectangular windows on inland ships can also be used as a reference.
