This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation of marine chillers using motor-driven centrifugal refrigeration compressors (hereinafter referred to as "units"). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of units that provide cold water for centralized air conditioning or equipment cooling with a cooling capacity of 580 kW or more. Units driven by engines (diesel engines or gas engines) or turbine engines (steam turbines or gas turbines) may refer to this standard.
