This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation of marine chillers using electric motors to drive piston refrigeration compressors (hereinafter referred to as units). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of units that use cold water (or dissolve chemicals in water as refrigerant to prevent freezing) for central air conditioners or electronic equipment with a cooling capacity of 23 kW or more. Marine chillers using scroll refrigeration compressors can refer to the implementation.
