Scope

This standard applies to general-purpose cold-formed open sections produced by cold-rolled or hot-rolled steel strips that can be deformed by cold work on continuous roll-type cold-bending units. Hereinafter referred to as section steel. Not applicable to cold-formed steel produced by drawing, stamping, bending, etc.
