Scope

This standard specifies the size, shape, weight and allowable deviation, shape, weight and marking examples of general cold-formed open section steel. This standard is applicable to general-purpose cold-formed open section steel produced by cold-rolled or hot-rolled steel strip that can be cold-worked and deformed on a continuous roll-type cold bending machine stage, hereinafter referred to as section steel.
